Global Expertise
Established in 2022 under the Reconstruction and Development Fund and the Ministry of Geology, Yangi Kon has swiftly become a leader in geological innovation across the Ustyurt region. In just two years, it has built a world-class network of partners including Gaffney Cline, PSS Geo, Boston Consulting Group, Schlumberger (SLB).
Supported by independent assessments from Gaffney Cline using reprocessed data from PSS Geo, Yangi Kon is launching its first deep-gas exploration well. Enabled by cutting-edge technology and expertise from SLB, this project could redefine Uzbekistan’s energy future and drive economic growth in Karakalpakstan.
UDG-1 Well
Designed to reach 7,500 meters, the UDG-1 well ranks among the most technically advanced in Central Asia. It reflects Uzbekistan’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and sustainable development. Supported by Yangi Kon and the government, the Deep Gas project reduces geological risks by launching the exploration phase — opening the door for future opportunities.
