About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chief Geologist to lead our subsurface exploration and development efforts. This role is responsible for technical and strategic leadership in geological, geophysical, and reservoir-related activities, supporting field development, stakeholder engagement, and long-term resource growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Set strategic direction for geological and seismic programs
- Oversee seismic interpretation, prospect generation, and well planning
- Guide drilling strategy with robust risk assessment
- Lead integration of geological models and reservoir simulation
- Optimize recovery and inform infrastructure decisions
- Ensure technical assurance, compliance, and data integrity
- Mentor multidisciplinary teams and build technical capability
- Represent geoscience in stakeholder and shareholder engagements
Required Experience and Skills
- 15+ years in geological exploration (gas-focused) in leading O&G companies
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing subsurface teams and strategy
- Strong analytical ability with proficiency in tools like Petrel
- Advanced geological modeling and reservoir analysis skills
- Work experience in Central Asia or Russia (Uzbekistan preferred)
- Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related field
- Fluent in Russian and English
Desired Experience and Skills
- Experience in drilling and well planning in HPHT (high-pressure, high-temperature) gas environments.
- Experience in asset audits, reserves assessment and investor engagement.
