The Yangi Kon Exploration Team is expanding! We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Specialist Petroleum System Modeller to support regional- to prospect-scale exploration studies across our licenses and the wider Ustyurt Basin. You will build and calibrate models that define charge risk for our plays and prospects.
Key requirements and expertise
- Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Software: PetroMod or equivalent petroleum system modelling software.
- Model building: Build 1D and 2D models (or 3D if required) integrating geochemical, G&G and regional geological data. Model generation, expulsion and migration to Jurassic and Cretaceous reservoirs, and charge timing relative to trap formation and seal effectiveness. Perform model calibration and sensitivity analysis, prepare maturity and transformation-ratio maps, contribute to Play Fairway and CRS mapping, and mentor junior geoscientists.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology.
- Languages: English proficiency is required; Russian is an advantage.
